Krystle's life's pursuit is a harmony of passion, resilience, and creativity. From her early days as a budding dancer at The Jones-Haywood School of Ballet in Washington, D.C., Krystle's dedication to her craft was evident. At the age of 10, she landed her to her first job as she dazzled audiences performing at the Kennedy Center in Debbie Allen’s “Brothers of the Knight” musical. The following year, she took her talents to Los Angeles, intensively training at The Debbie Allen Dance Academy Summer Intensive Program from 2000-2007.
In 2008, Krystle enrolled at St. John’s University in Queens, NY, where she adeptly juggled academics with her fervent love for dance. Just before beginning her freshman year, she earned a spot on The University's Dance Team Athletic Department, showcasing her multifaceted talent. Additionally, she took on the role of Shug Avery in "The Color Purple" for The Film and Drama Club, further highlighting her versatility and steadfast commitment. Krystle graduated with a B.A. in Communication Arts and a minor in Musical Theater in 2012, marking the culmination of her academic journey. With her degree in hand, she returned to the West Coast, determined to pursue her dreams with even greater fervor.
Signed to a prestigious dance agency in Los Angeles, she graced stages alongside celebrity artists, leaving her mark in commercials, music videos, and awards shows. Yet, it was music that truly stirred her soul. Raised on the melodies of The Stylistics, Blue Magic, and Whitney Houston, Krystle's innate gift for songwriting and performance blossomed. Krystle delved into the intricacies of the music industry, navigating internships at Casablanca Records and Live Nation, where she worked under the management of celebrity artists. She then thrived in her role, excelling in assisting with music publishing and artist relations at Red Bull Records, further enriching her expertise in the industry.
Krystle maintained her musical pursuits, transitioning into a solo artist and recording at Brandon’s Way Recording Studio with Babyface and his team of Grammy-nominated producers and songwriters. However, life presented its challenges, and in 2017, Krystle confronted a silent battle with a severe autoimmune disease. Yet, from adversity emerged strength, resilience, and an unyielding determination to heal.
Across Krystle's odyssey, the presence of flowers has been a constant source of solace and inspiration. During the pandemic, as we all sought comfort within our homes, Krystle’s vision for Sister Blooms was born as a beacon of hope in uncertain times. Starting their own business has been both challenging and immensely rewarding for Krystle and her sister. They are thrilled to continue expanding their brand, bringing joy to their community through their stunning floral creations.
