Mercedes graduated in 2003 from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies, with a minor in Spanish. After graduating she started her career working with Wachovia Bank in Charlotte, NC., as an Administrative Assistance and later as a Project Coordinator in Risk Management with Wells Fargo until 2016.
In 2016, Mercedes and her husband relocated to Durham, NC., to start their family. Mercedes is currently an active Real Estate agent with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services in Chapel Hill. She has been a realtor for 8 years. Beyond her career, she enjoys being a wife and mother to her daughter, Harlow.
